While these systems won’t automatically alert anyone when they are triggered, they will still give you advance warning of an intruder, which will increase your odds of getting out of the situation. These basic alarm systems include a loud siren that will alert you and your neighbors of a problem. Not only that, but the siren will also be loud and annoying enough to potentially scare away anyone in your house.
You don’t have to drop a boatload of cash on home security, but you do have to be proactive and make sure you aren’t caught unprotected.
